Full mouth rehabilitation utilises a range of dental procedure techniques to correct imperfections in bite position and enhance the appearance of your smile. If you have short, excessively worn teeth or teeth that have chipped and broken or are missing due to decay or an accident, full mouth rehabilitation can restore your smile and help you achieve complete oral health once again.
Combining the artistry of cosmetic dentistry with the innovative science of neuromuscular dentistry full mouth rehabilitation creates a smile that is correctly aligned, functional, and beautiful.
Neuromuscular dentistry focuses on hard and soft tissues and is applied to correct any misalignment between your teeth, jawbones, head and neck muscles. By accurately measuring your jaw in its stressed and relaxed positions using advanced computerised diagnostic scanning technology, we are then able to reposition your jaw to its optimal position.
Having a misaligned jaw can be the cause of headaches, neck and shoulder pain, jaw pain when eating or a clicking sound when you talk, eat or yawn. Once your ideal jaw position is determined, it can be corrected with the use of an orthotic (a clear aligner that fits over the teeth and gently repositions the jaw) or through the application of dental restorations, which may include porcelain veneers, crowns, onlays or dental implants. As these restorations are made from high-grade ceramic, they are exceptionally strong and natural in appearance, enhancing your smile.
After you have worn your orthotic for several weeks to several months dependant upon your assessment diagnosis, your jaw naturally drops into its most comfortable position. Only then can our dentists begin to restore your bite with ceramic restorations. Following bite correction, you will experience decreased or eliminated pain and discomfort, and better overall health.
